4 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 4/3/16

J.J. Barea has been on fire recently, and his price hasn't caught up with his production. Who else offers salary relief today?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.

Let's take a look at four guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup tonight. Of course, remember to check our projections closer to tip because so much can change in the NBA throughout the day.

J.J. Barea, PG, Dallas Mavericks

FanDuel Price: $5,500

Jose Juan Barea has really benefitted from Deron Williams' injury by taking over the starting role in the Dallas lineup. He has been great the entire time Williams has been out, but especially in the last three games. He scored 39, 41, and 34 fantasy points in those three games and is still priced at just $5,500.

Oh, and Raymond Felton is questionable for the game as well. If both Williams and Felton sit, Barea is almost a must-start today. It's pretty rare to get someone at this price range that has a floor and ceiling as high as Barea does.

Michael Beasley, SF, Houston Rockets

FanDuel Price: $5,500

The resurgence of Michael Beasley has been nothing short of amazing.

At just $5,500 he is the best option if you are looking for upside. Beasley is averaging a value of 6.2 times his salary in his last four contests. There is some risk with him, since he has recorded duds in a few games, but the usage is there, as he shot the ball 33 times over the past two games. Beasley and the Rockets will face off with the Thunder in a high scoring affair that has an over/under total points of 221.5.

Rodney Hood, SG, Utah Jazz

FanDuel Price: $5,300

If you have followed this article daily, you have seen Rodney Hood's name on here a few times. I hate repeating myself, but he is playing at a level that exceeds his price tag.

He has played 39 and 40 minutes in the last two games, and the Jazz are in a battle for the playoffs, so he should get as many minutes as he can handle again tonight. Hood is pretty safe today, as he has averaged 5.4 times his salary over his past four games (points per $1,000 in salary) and faces a bad Suns team.

Jordan Farmar, PG, Memphis Grizzlies

FanDuel Price: $3,600

Jordan Farmar was recently added to the Grizzlies roster, because basically everyone else has been injured. Through six games, he is seeing consistent playing time -- averaging 26 minutes per contest.

In those games, he has also been consistent with his fantasy production, averaging 20 fantasy points per game. I know that won't excite you, but he is also priced at just $100 above the minimum on a day where there are a lot of expensive players to try to fit into your lineup.

As always, make sure to watch for updates as the games get closer. This time of year, there are a lot of late scratches, as players are resting for the playoffs, which can drastically change the landscape of the value plays.
