Rockets send Donatas Motiejunas, Marcus Thornton to Detroit
Houston Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas and point guard Marcus Thornton have been traded to the Detroit Pistons for Joel Anthony and a top-eight protected 2016 first-round pick.
The Pistons want to make some noise, and they didn't have to give up much to make this deal go down. Motiejunas is only going to be a backup to Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris, so he doesn't gain value here.
Motiejunas is inside the top 100 with a -1.6 nERD in 14 games played this season. He's averaging 5.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while posting a 57.2 True Shooting Percentage. Thornton is just behind him with a -1.7 nERD.
