Christian Wood (ankle) reportedly unlikely to play for Houston Thursday

Houston Rockets forward/center Christian Wood is unlikely to suit up Thursday in the team's game against the Sacramento Kings, according to ESPN's Tim McMahon.

What It Means:

Wood has been sidelined since February 4, missing 13 straight games due to a sprained right ankle. Houston has lost every one of those contests. The combination of Justin Patton and P.J. Tucker have not been enough to stop opposing bigs inside, and Wood's absence has loomed large. According to McMahon, it doesn't seem as though Wood will suit up in the first game out of the All-Star Break, but a return could be on the horizon.

Our models currently project Wood for 20.6 points, 9.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 39.0 FanDuel points across 29.4 minutes of action. Without Wood on the court, the Rockets' offensive rating dips from 111.3 to 102.1, and the defensive rating is 3.3 points worse.
