Gordon Hayward (calf) going from Hornets to Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder are acquiring guard/forward Gordon Hayward (calf) from the Charlotte Hornets for guard Tre Mann and forward Davis Bertans.

What It Means:

Hayward hasn't played since December 26 because of a calf strain, but Hornets head coach Steve Clifford recently said he was close to returning. Lu Dort and Josh Giddey could take a hit with the arrival of Hayward, with one of them potentially losing their starting spot.

Hayward averaged 29.8 FanDuel points in 31.9 minutes per game for the Hornets this season, with 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.9 three-pointers.
