Chris Paul remaining with Houston after agreeing to $160M deal
Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul will sign a four-year, $160M maximum contract to remain with the team, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
CP3 just got paid, big time. The 33-year-old tweeted "Unfinished Business...Run It Back", shortly after agreeing to the new deal. The Rockets will have their backcourt locked up for a while as they try to knock off the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference, but it comes with some risk. Paul will be making $40M-plus in his age 37 season.
Paul averaged 18.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 7.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while posting a 60.4% true shooting percentage in 2017-18.
