Jawun Evans, Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma State's Jawun Evans joins Mason as a key Big 12 point guard to watch in the Midwest region of the bracket. Though the Cowboys have struggled with a losing streak or two throughout the season, Evans and his production has been constant.

In 29 minutes per night, Evans averaged 19.0 points, 6.2 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals. He has the speed and athleticism to get around just about any defender and has proven he can also pull up from deep, hitting 1.1 threes per game on 38% shooting. He enjoyed one of his best performances of the season his last time out against the Iowa State Cyclones in the Big 12 Conference Tournament, with 29 points on 12 of 21 shooting and 2 of 3 from beyond the arc.

If Evans can stay hot, look out. On eight different occasions, he's tallied 25-plus points with at least two three-pointers in all but one of those. It won't be easy for he and his Cowboys, as they'll be forced to match up with a scorching hot Michigan team in the first round. Even if they get past the Wolverines, they'll likely take on Louisville in the second round.

Without saying, Evans' skills will be tested, but he's more than equipped to pull off an upset or two.
