FanDuel College Basketball Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 2/10/22

March Madness is a ways away, but you can get into college hoops today by playing daily contests at FanDuel.

If you've played NBA DFS before, college basketball DFS is similar. You pick a total of eight players -- four guards, three forwards, and one utility spot. Stay within the $50,000 salary cap, and field the team you think will score the most fantasy points.

The scoring settings differ from NBA in the blocks and steals categories; each is worth two FanDuel points, rather than the three you get in NBA contests.

Now that you're in the know, let's attack today's main slate. All betting lines come from NCAAB odds.

Guards

Jaden Ivey, Purdue ($8,600) - Ivey is on a heater, going for 38.8, 42.7 and 41.0 FanDuel points over his last three. He's logged at least 36 minutes in all three of those games, and he's taken at least 17 shots in four straight outings. There's so much to like about his role right now in a Purdue offense that ranks first nationally, per KenPom. The Boilers are facing a Michigan defense that checks in 107th. The game's 146.5-point total and 3.5-point spread are dreamy for DFS, and we just saw these two teams play an 82-76 game on February 5th. Ivey had 23 points, 6 boards and 7 assists in that one.

Eric Ayala, Maryland ($5,800) - Maryland hosts Iowa in what should be a great DFS environment. This game's 147.0-point total is a slate-high mark on this five-game slate, and the spread is only 4.0 points (in Iowa's favor). The Hawkeyes are 93rd in defense and 57th in adjusted tempo, so they're a friendly matchup for fantasy. Ayala leads Maryland with a 25.6% usage rate, according to Sports-Reference, and he's played at least 32 minutes in four consecutive games.

Noah Williams, Washington State ($4,400) - Williams and Washington State teammate Tyrell Roberts ($4,900) are superb value options versus Arizona. The Cougars are 251st in adjusted tempo while Zona is 3rd. That alleviates some of the concerns about Washington State having to battle Arizona's sixth-ranked defense. Williams owns a team-leading 27.4% usage rate while Roberts' 23.4% usage rate is second on the squad. With the quality of the high-end studs available to us on this slate, a stars-and-scrubs build is enticing, and these two are great fits for that.

Forwards

Keegan Murray, Iowa ($8,400) - Murray is in an outstanding spot as Iowa plays at Maryland. Iowa's 10th-ranked offense should have a day versus the Terps' 86th-ranked D. Iowa' s 75.5-point implied total paces the slate. Murray is averaging 40.2 FanDuel points per game for the campaign -- roughly 10.0 more than Ivey's season-long average -- and he went nuts for 51.5 last time out. It'll be interesting to see how draft percentages shake out between Murray, Ivey, Hunter Dickinson ($8,500) and this next guy. Murray and Ivey will be the priorities for me.

Paolo Banchero, Duke ($8,000) - Banchero hasn't popped for a ceiling game in a little while, but he's scored at least 26.3 FanDuel points in 13 straight contests. His 28.2% usage rate is first among Duke's regulars by 6.9 percentage points, and he's averaging 17.2 points and 8.4 boards per night. While Clemson is a fairly neutral matchup, Duke's 74.5-point implied total is just a point away from being the slate's best clip.

Moussa Diabate, Michigan ($4,400) - It's scary to use a big against Purdue because any big man is a major foul-trouble risk due to having to guard Zach Edey ($7,200) and Trevion Williams ($7,400). With that said, Diabate is a worthwhile low-salary forward on a slate where there aren't many such options. Purdue games are fun to stack, as the Boilers' top-ranked offense and 105th-ranked D make for a lot of fantasy goodness. Diabate's minutes and FanDuel output have been all over the place lately, but the freshman is averaging 22.9 minutes and 17.6 FanDuel points for the year.
