FanDuel College Basketball Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 3/10/22

March Madness is on the horizon, but you can get into college hoops today by playing daily contests at FanDuel.

If you've played NBA DFS before, college basketball DFS is similar. You pick a total of eight players -- four guards, three forwards, and one utility spot. Stay within the $50,000 salary cap, and field the team you think will score the most fantasy points.

The scoring settings differ from NBA in the blocks and steals categories; each is worth two FanDuel points, rather than the three you get in NBA contests.

Now that you're in the know, let's attack today's early-only slate, which starts at 11:30 a.m. EST. All betting lines come from NCAAB odds.

Guards

Xavier Johnson, Indiana ($6,500) - Johnson has arguably been Indiana's best player down the stretch, and he's got a nice matchup against a Michigan defense that ranks 85th, per KenPom. Johnson has played 33 and 34 minutes in the Hoosiers' last two games, and in what is basically a must-win affair for IU if they are to make the Big Dance, Johnson should barely come off the floor. He ended the regular season with 46.0 FanDuel points at Purdue.

Joseph Girard III, Syracuse ($6,200) - The Syracuse-Duke game holds a juicy 151.0-point over/under and is one of the best DFS environments on this six-game slate. Girard has logged at least 33 minutes in four straight games, and with fellow Cuse guard Buddy Boeheim suspended, Girard should get all the run he can handle. The matchup is obviously a tough one, but Syracuse's 68.25-point implied total is a solid clip. Girard has put up 24.2 and 30.1 FanDuel points over his past two.

Trevor Keels, Duke ($6,100) - Duke -- holder of an 82.50-point implied total -- is going to be a chalky team today. Keels is a modest-salaried way to get a piece of the Blue Devils, and he probably won't be as popular as some of their other options. Keels owns a 20.9% usage rate for the year, according to Sports-Reference, which sits third on the team. He's scored at least 21.1 FanDuel points in four of Duke's last six contests while seeing 34-plus minutes in five of those games.

Kerr Kriisa, Arizona ($5,400) - Kriisa is a guy I go to a lot when Arizona is on a slate. The Wildcats usually boast an appealing implied total, and Kriisa typically logs good minutes at a low salary. All that is true today. Arizona's 79.75-point implied total is a yummy mark, and they should have their way with Stanford's 92nd-ranked D. Kerr played 31 and 36 minutes in two regular-season matchups with the Cardinal, and he's capable of a big day if his shot is falling.

Forwards

Paolo Banchero, Duke ($8,100) - Banchero might wind up as the slate's most popular player. As we already laid out, Duke's game versus Syracuse profiles as a fantasy-friendly clash. Banchero racked up 36.7 FanDuel points against the Orange on February 26th, and his 28.7% usage rate is a team-best number by 7.6 percentage points. The lone negative is Banchero's likely popularity, but he might be chalk worth swallowing on a slate that doesn't have a bunch of quality high-end plays.

Jalen Wilson, Kansas ($6,100) - Wilson enters postseason play on an upward trajectory, scoring 31.5 and 39.6 FanDuel points across his last two appearances. Averaging 28.6 minutes per night for the campaign, Wilson has seen at least 34 minutes in four consecutive Kansas games. West Virginia is a blah 58th in defense, and Wilson tagged them for 24.2 and 45.1 FanDuel points in two previous meetings this season.

Harrison Ingram, Stanford ($5,900) - Arizona (5th in adjusted tempo) represents a massive pace-up spot for Stanford (245th). Ingram is a great way to take advantage of that. He's generated 25.8 and 26.5 FanDuel points in his past two games. The Pac-12 Freshman of the Year had those days without much of real-life scoring (eight and six points, respectively), showing his steady floor.

Jalen Bridges, West Virginia ($3,800) - Bridges has played at least 26 minutes in three consecutive games, and that makes him an enticing value target. The WVU forward managed to tally 16.8 and 26.2 FanDuel points against Kansas in the regular season. He played 33 minutes and finished with 24.7 FanDuel points yesterday in the opening round of the conference tourney.
