Deng Adel spurning the NBA for one more season at Louisville
Louisville Cardinals sophomore forward Deng Adel is withdrawing from the NBA Draft and returning to school for his juniors season, per Jon Rothstein of FanRag Sports.
Adel was not projected to be selected this June as the 2017 NBA Draft class is loaded with talent. Instead of taking his chances as an undrafted free agent, Adel is returning to school to try and improve his draft stock for 2018. The versatile 6'7" forward will be in line for a bigger role with the Cardinals and has the potential for a breakout season.
Adel averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while posting a 13.9 net rating and a 16.1 player efficiency rating.
