College Football Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 9/25/20 Single-Game Slate

Week 4 of the college football season continues Friday night as the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners play host to the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders

For those unfamiliar, single-game slates feature five flex spots with identical scoring to the main slate. However, there is an "MVP" roster slot. The MVP receives 1.5 times his total fantasy points, making this spot crucial.

MVP Consideration

Frank Harris, Texas San Antonio ($17,000) - The Roadrunners' signal caller is off to a phenomenal start in his junior season. The dual-threat quarterback has accounted for seven out of the team's eight offensive touchdowns this season. Through two games, Harris is averaging 269.0 passing yards, 77.5 rushing yards, and 3.5 total touchdowns. His ceiling is sky high as the Roadrunners host Middle Tennessee State. Middle Tennessee State has allowed 79 points in two games so far in 2020.

Sincere McCormick, Texas San Antonio ($15,000) - McCormick was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Year after totaling 1,177 all-purpose yards in 2019. He's off to a quick start through two games in 2020 as he's rushed for 295 yards and one touchdown on 48 carries. On tap is matchup with Middle Tennessee's struggling defense. The Blue Raiders have allowed an eye-popping 580 yards rushing and nine rushing touchdowns in only two games this season.

Asher O'Hara, Middle Tennessee State ($14,500) - O'Hara entered this season with high expectations after passing for over 2,500 yards and rushing for over 1,000 yards in 2019. He accounted for 29 total touchdowns last season. However, he's struggled mightily to start the 2020 season. The matchup with Texas San Antonio should help the junior get back on track. The Roadrunners have allowed 649 passing yards and five touchdown passes through two games this year.

Joshua Cephus, Texas San Antonio ($13,000) - Cephus is emerging as one of the best wide receivers in Conference USA. He's clearly quarterback Frank Harris' favorite target in the passing game. Through two games, Cephus has piled up 20 targets, 13 receptions, 128 receiving yards, and two touchdowns. Additionally, Harris owns a 110.8 quarterback rating when targeting Cephus, per Pro Football Focus.

Value Plays

Jarrin Pierce, Middle Tennessee State ($12,000) - Pierce leads the Blue Raiders in targets (19), receptions (15), and receiving yards (114) through two games this season, per Pro Football Focus. He should be in for a big night against Texas San Antonio's vulnerable pass defense (as noted above).

Jayy McDonald, Middle Tennessee State ($9,000) - McDonald is listed as the Blue Raiders' starting running back. However, you wouldn't know it by looking at his box scores this season. He has received only six carries, but that's a result of Middle Tennessee falling way behind in both games this season. With our models projecting the Blue Raiders to score nearly 32 points, look for McDonald to receive a significant increase in touches on Friday night.

Jimmy Marshall, Middle Tennessee State ($8,000) - Marshall is off to slow start this season as he's recorded just two receptions for seven yards. However, Marshall was the Blue Raiders' leader in touchdown receptions last season. It's only a matter of time before he breaks out. Take advantage of this salary.

Brennon Dingle, Texas San Antonio ($7,000) - The former Massachusetts wide receiver has solidified himself as a major part of the Roadrunners' passing game. Dingle has racked up seven receptions and 96 yards on 10 targets in two games this season, per Pro Football Focus. Those statistics rank second or tied for second best amongst all Roadrunners' pass catchers. Most importantly, Dingle provides the necessary salary relief in order to roster the high-salary options listed in the MVP section.

Others to consider: CJ Windham, Decorian Clark, Sheldon Jones, Frank Peasant, and Gavin Sharp.
