College Football Daily Fantasy Helper: Friday 11/6/20

Week 10 of college football is here! FanDuel's Friday night college football DFS main slate includes three games.

In case you're unfamiliar with how it works, you can check out the rules and scoring on FanDuel, where you can hit the lobby each week to see the full array of slates and contests being offered.

As for the basics, your roster consists of a quarterback slot, two running back slots, three wide receiver slots (which also includes tight ends), and one super flex slot. In the flex, you can insert one player from any position, including quarterbacks.

Here, our goal is to help you field a roster full of fantasy goodness, and in true numberFire fashion, we'll use our in-house projections as well as betting totals and advanced statistics to tackle as many slates as possible in the lead-up to the College Football Playoff. This week, we are only breaking down Friday's main slate, which locks at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Let's breakdown which players are in great spots as well as identify some players with cheap price tags that will allow you to roster the high dollar players.

Quarterbacks

Zach Wilson, BYU ($11,000) – The Heisman hopeful is posting game averages of 307.4 passing yards, 21.4 rushing yards, and 3.7 total touchdowns this season. Wilson currently ranks 9th in the country in points responsible for (22.6). With an implied team total nearing 33, Wilson looks like a great spend on Friday night. He's accounted for four touchdowns in three straight games.

Nick Starkel, San Jose State ($8,600) – The former Arkansas and Texas A&M quarterback has found a home with San Jose State. The senior is completing 73.7% of his passes and has accumulated 693 passing yards, 7 touchdown passes, and an interception. Look for him to continue his stellar play as he has two of the best wide receivers in the Mountain West Conference at his disposal in Bailey Gaither and Tre Walker.

Bailey Hockman, North Carolina State ($7,100) – Hockman is now the unquestioned starting quarterback at North Carolina State with Devin Leary out for the season due to an injury. While Hockman's play has been inconsistent this season (two games with at least 16 FanDuel points and two games 5.0 or less FanDuel points), he's in a decent spot on Friday night as the Wolfpack welcome the Miami (FL) Hurricanes. Miami has allowed at least two touchdown passes to four out of five ACC conference foes.

Others to consider: D'Eriq King, Jack Sears (if Bachmeier is out), and Carson Baker.

Running Backs

Greg Bell, San Diego State ($9,800) – Former Nebraska transfer Greg Bell has run for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns on 41 carries in two games this season. Additionally, he has 2 receptions, 29 receiving yards, and a TD reception. He's in a great spot on Friday as he squares off with San Jose State's vulnerable run defense. The Spartans are allowing 177.5 rushing yards per game to opposing backfields.

Tyler Allgeier, BYU ($9,000) – The sophomore running back leads the Cougars in carries (91), rushing yards (587), and rushing touchdowns (7). Allgeier enters Friday night looking to extend his touchdown streak to six consecutive games. The BYU backfield is in a home-run spot as they face off with Boise State Broncos. The Broncos are allowing 263 rushing yards per game; they've been hammered for six rushing touchdowns in only two games this season.

Lopini Katao, BYU ($7,200) – Katao is the Cougars' second-leading rusher with 263 rushing yards and 4 rushing touchdowns. While he won't receive nearly the amount of carries that leading rusher Tyler Allgeier receives, Katao is the better pass-catching running back. Katao has 14 receptions, 153 receiving yards, and 3 touchdown receptions this season. As noted above, the matchup with Boise State is a great spot.

Others to consider: Cam'Ron Harris, Chance Bell, Andrew Van Buren (if George Holani is out), Zonovan Knight (If Ricky Person Jr. is out), Jaylen Knighton, and Don Chaney Jr.

Wide Receivers

Dax Milne, BYU ($9,200) – Over the last three games, Milne is averaging 6 receptions and 113.3 receiving yards. He's found paydirt five times in those three games. Additionally, quarterback Zach Wilson is posting an eye-popping 156.5 passer rating when targeting Milne, per Pro Football Focus. His upside is through the roof in what should be the first competitive game BYU has played in several weeks.

Khalil Shakir, Boise State (8,400) – Shakir is off to a phenomenal start in 2020. The junior is the Broncos top playmaker. He caught at least 6 passes, cleared 90 receiving yards, and scored at least a single touchdown in both games this season. He's also involved in the running game as Shakir has carried the ball 5 times and tallied 52 rushing yards this season.

John Bates, Boise State ($5,600) – The senior tight end has drawn the second-most targets amongst the Boise State pass catchers, per Pro Football Focus. He's recorded 10 receptions and 84 yards receiving through two games. We need salary relief on this slate and Bates provides that.

Others to consider: Bailey Gaither, Kobe Smith, Tre Walker, Gunner Romney, Brevin Jordan, Mike Harley, Emeka Emezie, CT Thomas, Mark Pope, and Isaac Rex.
