College Football Daily Fantasy Helper: Thursday 11/10/22

College football is entering Week 11, and FanDuel's college football DFS main slate on Thursday includes two games.

In case you're unfamiliar with how it works, you can check out the rules and scoring on FanDuel, where you can hit the lobby each week to see the full array of slates and contests being offered.

As for the basics, your roster consists of a quarterback slot, two running backs, three wide receivers (which also includes tight ends), and one "Super FLEX". In the Super FLEX spot, you can insert one player from any position, including quarterbacks.

Here, our goal is to help you field a roster full of fantasy goodness, and in true numberFire fashion, we'll use our DFS projections and game projections to tackle as many slates as possible in the lead-up to the College Football Playoff. In this piece, we are breaking down Thursday's main slate, which locks at 7:30 p.m. EST.

Let's look at which players are in great spots as well as identify some players with low salaries who will allow you to roster the high-salary players. All stats come from PFF unless otherwise noted.

Quarterbacks

Seth Henigan, Memphis ($11,000) – Henigan ranks 17th nationally with 2,520 passing yards. The Memphis Tigers' quarterback is also a threat to run the ball. The sophomore has rushed for 289 yards and four touchdowns through nine games. He is in a phenomenal spot as the Tigers host the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Tulsa ranks 90th nationally in total defense and is allowing 402.8 total yards per game .

Kyle Vantrease, Georgia Southern ($10,400) – The senior quarterback is averaging an eye-opening 46.5 passing attempts per game. Consequently, he is racking up a ton of yardage through the air. The Georgia Southern Eagles' signal caller ranks second nationally with an average of 330.78 passing yards per game.

Ben Wooldridge, Louisiana ($9,800) - The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin Cajuns' quarterback has accounted for at least two touchdowns in all four of his starts this season. We could see a monster box score today as he will go head-to-head with one of the nation's worst defenses. Georgia Southern is allowing 484.6 yards per game (ranks 129th out of 131 FBS teams).

Running Backs

Jalen White, Georgia Southern ($9,500) – White has recorded at least one touchdown in all but one game this season. The Georgia Southern running back leads the slate with 752 rushing yards. He also does well in the passing game as he has recorded 19 receptions and 189 receiving yards.

Deneric Prince, Tulsa ($8,600) – Prince is operating as a bell-cow back since he returned from injury. Over the last five games, the senior has rushed for 438 yards and three touchdowns on 75 carries.

Chris Smith, Louisiana ($7,800) – The speedy running back is now two games removed from injury. Over those two games, Smith has tallied 29 carries. He could break the slate on Thursday night. Georgia Southern is allowing 223.0 rushing yards per game, and they've coughed up 22 rushing touchdowns through nine games, which is a slate-high clip by five.

Wide Receivers

Keylon Stokes, Tulsa ($9,200) – Tulsa's playmaking pass-catcher should give Memphis' defense fits. The Tigers' defense is allowing 276.8 passing yards per game (119th nationally). Meanwhile, Stokes leads the slate with 964 receiving yards. He is averaging an absurd 2.98 yards per route run.

Michael Jefferson, Louisiana ($7,500) - Jefferson is a legitimate NFL prospect. The big-bodied wide receiver is averaging 2.79 yards per route run. Additionally, most of his targets are coming down the field as evidenced by his 16.2 aDOT. Jefferson provides slate-breaking upside at a mid-tier salary. As noted above, this is a dream matchup for the Louisiana offense.

Marcus Sanders Jr., Georgia Southern ($4,800) - If you need salary relief, Sanders could be a player to target. He appears to be the preferred pass-catcher to replace the injured Amare Jones. Sanders was targeted five times and ran 40 pass routes in the Eagles' last game.

General Notes

Tulsa quarterback Davis Brin ($9,000) missed the Golden Hurricanes' last game. If he is unable to suit up, Braylon Braxton ($9,000) would draw the start. Braxton would be a popular play due to his dual-threat ability. It is also a great matchup against Memphis' atrocious defense. Juan Carlos Santana ($7,900) and Isaiah Epps ($6,500) are two solid pass-catching options. Santana is besting Epps 1.71 to 1.04 in yards per route run.

Caden Prieskorn ($7,700) and Joe Scates ($6,900) are probably the two best options if you're looking to stack a Memphis pass catcher with quarterback Seth Henigan. Prieskorn leads the Tigers with six touchdown receptions. Scates has an eye-opening 18.7 aDOT. He also paces Memphis in average yards per route run (1.92). Asa Martin ($6,900) looks like the best option in the Memphis backfield. He leads the team with an average of 8.3 carries per game over the last three games. He has significantly out-snapped Jey Ducker ($5,600) and Brandon Thomas ($7,300) in the last two games (81, 57, and 28 snaps, respectively). Despite the limited snap counts, Thomas has a rushing touchdown in seven straight games.

Derwin Burgess Jr. ($8,500) and Khaleb Hood ($7,300) are the top two options in Georgia Southern's passing game. Hood is averaging 2.17 yards per route run. Burgess leads the Eagles with six touchdown receptions.

Terrance Williams ($6,500) provides a pivot off of the more popular Chris Smith. Williams has at least 11 carries in three straight games for the Ragin Cajuns.
