Joe Mixon (ankle) still not practicing for Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday.
Mixon will likely need to get in a limited practice on Friday in order to be cleared for Week 2 versus the San Francisco 49ers. Giovani Bernard will be in a workhorse role if Mixon sits.
Mixon totaled just 17 yards on 8 touches in Week 1. The 49ers allowed 4.7 yards per carry versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the opener, so it's an advantageous spot for the Bengals' backfield.
