Update: Bengals trading Joe Mixon to Texans
The Cincinnati Bengals are trading running back Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Bengals were reportedly releasing Mixon, but he will apparently be traded to the Texans instead. Mixon, who racked up 309 touches last season, should be able to beat out Dameon Pierce and replace Devin Singletary as the lead back in Houston. Zack Moss and Chase Brown will likely share backfield work in Cincinnati next season.
Mixon averaged 14.2 FanDuel points per game last year, with 257 carries, 1,034 rushing yards, 52 catches (64 targets), 376 receiving yards, and 12 total touchdowns. Among the 23 backs with at least 200 carries, he was No. 10 in Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
