49ers' Brandon Aiyuk placed on Reserve/COVID-19 list, out against Green Bay Thursday
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
As a result, he'll miss Week 9's game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football. Aiyuk didn't test positive for COVID-19, but he was deemed high-risk because of his close contact with fellow wide receiver Kendrick Bourne. Deebo Samuel was also placed on the list - though he was already ruled out with an injury - leaving Trent Taylor and Richie James as the only other options at receiver.
Green Bay has been average at stopping opposing air attacks, ranking 16th in the NFL in adjusted net expected points allowed per pass play.
