Panthers' Christian McCaffrey (thigh) officially ruled out against Green Bay Saturday
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey will not play Saturday night in the team's Week 15 game against the Green Bay Packers.
McCaffrey was listed as doubtful to play coming into the weekend, so this comes as no surprise whatsoever. As has been the case all year with the superstar back sidelined, Mike Davis will now assume the lion's share of the backfield duties. Curtis Samuel figures to slot in as a change-of-pace back. With the Panthers all but eliminated from playoff contention, it's unclear if they'll shut down McCaffrey for the final two games of the season.
Green Bay currently ranks 30th in the NFL in adjusted net expected points allowed per run play.
