Lions' Matthew Stafford (ribs) not expected to be shut down
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (ribs) is not expected to be shut down for the final two weeks of the season.
The Lions are still taking it day by day with Stafford's rib injury, but he not expected to be shut down. Asked about potentially shutting Stafford down for the season, Darrell Bevell said "To be honest with you, I don't think he'll let that happen." Stafford has a long history of playing through painful injuries, so if he's against being shut down, he will likely continue to play. Stafford and the Lions face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16.
Stafford's Week 16 projection includes 267.9 passing yards, 1.6 touchdowns, 0.6 interceptions, and 17.3 FanDuel points.
