Albert Wilson expected to have 'solidified role' for Dolphins

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson is expected to have a "solidified role" on offense, writes Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com.

What It Means:

Wilson, 29, opted out of the 2020 season. "It would be a pretty big surprise if he doesn't have a solidified role, possibly a sizable one," Fowler said. The Dolphins have had multiple receivers miss time at training camp due to various injuries, and Wilson has taken advantage of the extra reps with Tua Tagovailoa. Wilson could wind up seeing consistent targets, especially if Will Fuller misses time due to injury or Jaylen Waddle struggles in his rookie season. Per Fantasy Football Calculator, Wilson isn't currently being drafted in 12-team formats.

Wilson averaged 0.40 Reception Net Expected Points per target in 2019, finishing well below the league average (0.70).
