Tyrod Taylor (hamstring) day-to-day for Texans
Houston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor (hamstring, IR) is day-to-day, according to head coach David Culley.
Culley said Taylor took some first-team reps at practice last week after being designated to return from injured reserve. Barring any setbacks, it sounds like Taylor should be back out there for Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. Davis Mills completed 29-of-38 passes for 310 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in the Texans 38-22, Week 8 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Entering Week 8, Tyrod ranked first in Passing Net Expected Points per drop back (0.55) among all quarterbacks to make a start in 2021. The Dolphins are allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game this season.
