The New York Jets will release running back Dalvin Cook.
What It Means:
Cook will head to waivers after logging just 82 touches in his first season with New York. Expect Israel Abanikanda to play a backup running back role behind Breece Hall.
Per Pro Football Focus, Cook ranks 59th among running backs with a 54.3 offensive rating after producing 292 scrimmage yards and 2.21 yards after contact per attempt.
