Seahawks want DK Metcalf more involved Week 13
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf needs to be more involved in the offense in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers, per offensive coordinator Shane Waldron.
Metcalf played 94 percent of the Seahawks' offensive snaps on Monday night, but he drew a season-low four targets and the first one didn't come until there was 4:31 left in the third quarter. “We’ve got to get to get the guy the ball,” Waldron said. “We’re going to keep working to get that done, not making any excuses about different things that happen throughout the course of the game. It’s just something we have to get done.” The squeaky wheel narrative is fully initiated for Week 13. Russell Wilson will likely look for Metcalf early and often on Sunday.
Metcalf is currently the WR17 in numberFire's Week 13 rankings and our models project him for 8.2 targets. The 49ers have the eighth-best pass defense in the league, per our schedule-adjusted metrics.
