Jets' Corey Davis to undergo season-ending core muscle surgery

New York Jets receiver Corey Davis will undergo season-ending core muscle surgery, per head coach Robert Saleh.

What It Means:

Davis has dealt with multiple injuries already this season, including hip and groin injuries, but suffered a more serious one in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Davis, who signed with the Jets in free agency this offseason, is now done for the year.

Davis averaged a solid 8.3 yards per target this season in a Jets offense that could barely move the ball for much of the year. He'll end the season with 34 catches on 59 targets for 492 yards and 2 scores. His absence should open up even more opportunities for breakout rookie receiver Elijah Moore.
