Packers' Randall Cobb (core) 'out a while' with 'significant injury'
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb (core) will "be out a while" due to a "pretty significant injury," per head coach Matt LaFleur.
Cobb made an early exit from Week 12 and it sounds like he could be out until at least the postseason. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Allen Lazard should see most of Cobb's snaps. He has drawn between 4-5 targets in five of the last six games and only reached 50 yards twice. Since returning in Week 9, Valdes-Scantling is second on the Packers in routes (89), targets (16), and receiving yards (192).
numberFire's models project MVS for 5.7 targets and Lazard for 4.8 targets in Week 14 on Sunday night against the Chicago Bears. Valdes-Scantling is averaging 2.16 yards per route run with a 17.4-yard average depth of target since Week 9 and he's registered target shares of 32.3% and 20.5% over his last two games.
