Cowboys' Dalton Schultz (knee) not expected to play in Week 3
The NFL's Tom Pelissero reports that tight end Dalton Schultz (knee) is not expected to play in the team's Week 3 game against the New York Giants.
Schultz fortunately was able to avoid a season-ending injury in Week 2, but it is looking like he'll have to miss at least one game while he recovers. The 2021 breakout was once again featuring heavily in the Cowboys' offense this season and should retain his prominent role when he returns.
Without Schultz in Monday's game, expect receiver CeeDee Lamb to continue seeing the majority of the team's opportunities in the passing game. Lamb has been a relative disappointment through the first two weeks of the season, but is projected to score 12.2 fantasy points against the Giants' mostly untested secondary. He has a $6,600 salary on FanDuel.
