Cardinals place Kyler Murray (knee) on PUP list
The Arizona Cardinals placed quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) on the PUP list Wednesday.
Murray is still recovering from a right ACL tear he suffered in December. His status for the beginning of the season remains uncertain, setting up Colt McCoy as the potential Week 1 starter for Arizona. Murray was limited to a career-low 11 games last season and his average target depth (6.6 yards) was more than a yard lower than his first two years in the league.
Operating under the assumption that Murray will miss the first four games of the season, numberFire's models project him to average 243.0 passing yards and 35.6 rushing yards from Weeks 5-18, with 14.55 passing touchdowns and 3.47 scores on the ground.
