Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) officially out Thursday for 49ers
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) is officially out against New York Giants on Thursday in Week 3.
Aiyuk was able to log back-to-back limited practices leading up to Thursday, but he still wasn't expected to suit up on the short week. Deebo Samuel, Jauan Jennings, and George Kittle could be more involved on offense without Aiyuk, but the 49ers aren't expected to need to pass the ball much as double-digit favorites at home.
numberFire's models project Samuel ($13,500) to lead the 49ers with 8.0 targets and score 14.1 FanDuel on Thursday's single-game slate. Kittle ($9,000) is projected for 6.2 targets and 9.3 FanDuel points while Jennings ($7,000) is forecasted for 5.2 targets and 6.8 FanDuel points. The Giants have the No. 27 adjusted passing defense and No. 29 adjusted overall defense in the NFL through two weeks, according to numberFire's metrics.
