Andy Dalton returning to Panthers backup job
Carolina Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton is expected to return to backup duty in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Dalton filled in admirably for Bryce Young (ankle) last week, with 361 passing yards and 2 touchdowns, but Young is on track to return for this Sunday's matchup. Adam Thielen had 7 catches on 9 targets for 54 yards and a touchdown in Young's last start. That's a far cry from his performance with Dalton (11 catches, 145 yards, 1 touchdown), but Young at least proved he can support Thielen for fantasy owners.
Dalton ripped off 23.5 FanDuel points versus the Seattle Seahawks last week. Young will have his easiest matchup yet in Week 4 versus a Vikings team with the third-worst adjusted pass defense in the NFL, per numberFire's metrics.
