Steelers' Pat Freiermuth has potentially serious hamstring injury
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth's hamstring injury is not just a tweak, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
What It Means:
Freiermuth is having his injured hamstring examined on Monday, but it sounds like he could miss extended time. 2023 third-round pick Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward played the other tight end snaps in Sunday's loss to the Houston Texans, but everyone on the Steelers offense is a hard sell right now, especially the backup tight ends.
Washington played 25 snaps in Week 4 and hauled in his only target for 10 yards. Heyward logged 15 snaps and wasn't targeted. The Steelers will face a Baltimore Ravens team in Week 5 that has only given up 99 scoreless yards and 18.1 total FanDuel points to tight ends this season.
