Steelers' Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) likely out Week 7, beyond
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) is expected to be out again Sunday versus the Los Angeles Rams, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Freiermuth initially injured his hamstring in Week 5. He expected to return this week coming out of the bye, but Freiermuth aggravated the injury at Thursday's practice and will now likely be out beyond Sunday's game. Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward will likely share tight end snaps against the Rams in Week 7.
Washington played 45 snaps and ran 15 routes last game with Freiermuth sidelined while Heyward played 37 snaps and ran 17 routes. Heyward finished with 3 catches for 23 yards on 4 targets. Washington was targeted twice and didn't catch either of them. The Rams are allowing the third-most FanDuel points per game to tight ends this season, so they do provide a plus matchup.
