Joe Mixon managing chest injury at Bengals practice
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (chest) was limited at Wednesday's practice for Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
This is the first time Mixon has been listed as less than a full participant all season. The Bengals are presumably managing his reps in the middle of the season, but Mixon's status is worth monitoring ahead of Sunday's contest. He rushed 16 times for a season-high 87 yards last week and scored his second touchdown of the season. The veteran also caught 3 passes (3 targets) for 27 yards.
Mixon is the RB10 in numberFire's Week 9 rankings and our models project him for 13.3 FanDuel points, with 17.1 carries, 70.3 rushing yards, 2.5 receptions, and 18.3 receiving yards. The Bills are ranked 21st in FanDuel points allowed per game to running backs, but their run defense is 13th in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP rankings.
