Ja'Marr Chase (back) may sit out Bengals practice Wednesday
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (back) will be limited if he practices on Wednesday, per head coach Zac Taylor.
“He’s sore," Taylor said. "He’ll be limited if he does anything at all.” Chase played through a back issue on Sunday night and it got worse throughout the game. He still played 90 percent of the snaps on offense, but the Bengals No. 1 wideout only caught 4 passes on 8 targets for 41 yards. The Bengals will likely manage Chase's reps throughout the week and re-evaluate him closer to Sunday's game against the Houston Texans. Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins will have more targets available if Chase is out or limited in Week 10.
Chase is averaging 15.6 FanDuel points per game this season, with 64 catches for 697 yards and 4 touchdowns. The Texans are allowing the third-fewest FanDuel points per game to receivers, but their pass defense is only 25th in numberFire's opponent-adjusted NEP model.
