Khalil Herbert (ankle) expected to sit Thursday for Bears
Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert (ankle) is not expected to play Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Herbert returned to practice from injured reserve this week and is listed as questionable, but the Bears are probably going to wait until Week 11 to activate him. D'Onta Foreman is expected to lead the backfield again on Thursday night, but Herbert's absence could result in more work for rookie Roschon Johnson.
numberFire's models project Herbert for 12.0 carries and 1.8 targets on Thursday night. The Panthers are allowing the second-most FanDuel points per game to running backs this season, and according to our opponent-adjusted rankings, they have the worst run defense in the NFL.
