Justin Fields (thumb) officially inactive for Chicago Thursday; Tyson Bagent to make third start
The Chicago Bears have officially ruled out quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) for their Week 10 game against the Carolina Panthers.
Fields will need at least one more week before he can rejoin his teammates, meaning backup quarterback Tyson Bagent will make his third consecutive start in relief. It seems like the exciting third-year quarterback should be able to make it back on the field in Week 11, but we'll have to wait and see how effective he can be as a passer after suffering the injury on his throwing hand.
Bagent, who has a $7,200 salary on FanDuel, hasn't shown much NFL ability since taking over as the Bears' interim starter, throwing twice as many interceptions (6) as touchdowns (3). He has shown an ability to pick up fantasy points on the ground, though, elevating his floor for fantasy football. Our models project him for 14.3 fantasy points this week against the Panthers.
