Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) designated to return for Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Pat Freiermuth (hamstring) will be designated to return from injured reserve on Wednesday, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Schefter adds that Freiermuth is on track to play in Week 11 against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. The 2021 second-round pick has been inactive since injuring his hamstring in Week 4. Connor Heyward and Darnell Washington will revert to backup duty with Freiermuth back in the fold. Freiermuth scored twice in four games before landing on IR, but he caught just 8 passes on 13 targets for 53 yards.
Freiermuth is averaging 5.3 FanDuel points per contest and a minuscule 0.59 yards per route run. The Browns are allowing the fewest FanDuel points per game to tight ends this season, so Freiermuth will have a tough matchup in his first game back.
