Bears' Justin Fields 'progressing well' with thumb injury
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (right thumb) is "progressing well" and on track to start Week 11 against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, per head coach Matt Eberflus.
This confirms a previous report that Fields is expected to return from a four-game absence and replace Tyson Bagent as the Bears' starter. After struggling in September, Fields opened October by completing 67.2 percent of his passes for 617 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 1 interception. He also rushed 15 times for 82 yards in his last two healthy games. Fields' return should be a boost for Chicago's offense down the stretch.
Fields is the QB18 in numberFire's Week 11 rankings and our models project him for 17.1 FanDuel points, with 210.5 passing yards, 1.25 touchdowns, 0.8 interceptions, and 33.8 rushing yards. The Lions are allowing the 10th-most FanDuel points per game to quarterbacks this season.
