Joe Mixon (illness) misses Bengals practice Thursday
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (illness) did not practice on Thursday for Week 18 against the Cleveland Browns.
Mixon sat out due to an illness. He should have enough time to recover before Sunday's kickoff, but with the Bengals eliminated from playoff contention, there's an elevated risk of Mixon sitting out. Rookie fifth-round pick Chase Brown stands to benefit if Mixon is limited or inactive.
Mixon is the RB9 in numberFire's Week 18 rankings and our models project him for 13.9 FanDuel points, with 16.8 carries, 68.2 rushing yards, 2.4 receptions, and 17.5 receiving yards. The Browns have the seventh-best run defense in the NFL this season, according to our opponent-adjusted efficiency rankings.
