Chiefs' Kadarius Toney (healthy) not expected to play in Super Bowl
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney (healthy) is not expected to play in Sunday's Super Bowl game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Toney hasn't suited up for the Chiefs since Week 15 of the regular season, appearing on the team's injury reports with various hip and ankle injuries during that span of time. The former first round pick did not appear on the team's injury reports in the buildup to the Super Bowl, but appears to be unlikely to suit up regardless.
Toney did not find success on the field this season despite offseason optimism that he might become the team's top wideout. The former Giants wideout caught 27 passes for just 169 yards and a score, committing 5 drops and allowing 2 separate passes that hit off his hands to become interceptions.
