Michael Pittman Jr. tagged by Colts
The Indianapolis Colts placed wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. with the franchise tag on Tuesday, reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Pittman is now due to receive $21.8 million guaranteed from the Colts on a one-year deal, but the two sides are expected to continue working towards a long-term contract. The 26-year-old receiver set career-highs with 109 catches and 1,152 yards on 156 targets in his fourth season. Pittman could top those marks in 2024 with Anthony Richardson (shoulder) under center instead of Gardner Minshew.
Pittman averaged 12.2 FanDuel points per game last season. He also drew 28.5 percent of the team targets and accounted for 29.8 percent of the Colts air yards.
