Bengals' William Jackson III not ruled out for season
The Cincinnati Bengals haven't ruled first-round rookie cornerback William Jackson III (torn pectoral) out for the season.
Jackson underwent surgery to "reattach" his pectoral muscle. The 24th overall pick is likely headed to injured reserve/designated to return. His injury (fortunately) comes at a position of depth for the Bengals, and Darqueze Dennard should man the slot as a starter anyway.
The Bengals ranked 14th in schedule-adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play in 2015, and without any major losses on that side of the ball, the unit should have another solid season in 2016.
