Steelers release Ladarius Green after one year
The Pittsburgh Steelers have cut tight end Ladarius Green.
Green played in only six games last season and was officially cut due to a "failed physical." Even after signing a four-year $20 million contract, Green already had all of his guaranteed money paid out. He has yet to be cleared from the league's concussion protocol, likely making the decision to cut Green easier for the Steelers. Pittsburgh will move forward with Jesse James as their top tight end.
Green's 0.88 Reception Net Expected Points per target ranked fifth among the 43 tight ends to receive at least 30 targets this past year.
