Torrey Smith 'expecting to be back' with Eagles in 2018
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith said he is "expecting to be back" with the team next season.
Smith has a $5 million club option for 2018. The Eagles will have to exercise that right by March 14th, but if they decide not to they'd shed that amount in cap space. Recent reports have the Eagles releasing the 29-year-old, though they could release and re-sign him at a different figure.
In his first season with the Eagles, Smith caught 36 balls for 430 yards and 2 touchdowns. He added 157 yards and a score on 13 catches and 20 targets during Philly's Super Bowl run.
