The Columbus Blue Jackets, unlike the Bruins, are trending in the right direction. They've won two in a row and get the New York Islanders tonight.

The Islanders, as a team, allow the second-worst Corsi Against per 60 minutes at 63.5. They are also giving up 5.7 High-Danger Shots per game, which is also one of the worst clips in the league. Add in a matchup against one of the league's best teams in what should be a high-paced affair, and it could be a long game for the Islanders.

John Tavares' line usually spends 60% to 80% of their ice time against the opposing team's top line. In the case of the Blue Jackets, that means Alexander Wennberg's line should have the tougher assignment. This will leave Cam Atkinson and the second line (61 Corsi For per 60 minutes) in an array of favorable matchups against the second, third, and fourth lines for the Islanders. They won't only enjoy the matchups at even-strength but also on their top-ranked power play (25%) as each one of the players mentioned here gets extra-man minutes.
