3 Daily Fantasy Hockey Stacks for 3/19/18
Florida Panthers
Players to target: Aleksander Barkov, Evgeni Dadonov, Nick Bjugstad
The Florida Panthers' top line will get a good matchup against the Montreal Canadiens, who are a home team that loves to play high-event hockey. So does Florida. It's safe to say the Barkov line is fuming over the squandered chances in a 4-2 loss to Edmonton on Saturday. The top line had 13 shots on net and 10 scoring chances, including several high-danger opportunities..
This line with Bjugstad has been electric. Their chances for nearly tops 60%, which bodes well against a Montreal team that allows 34 shots per 60 since January 1st. That includes a penalty kill that has bottomed out around 75% (30th in the league). The Canadiens typically are middle of the pack when it comes to taking penalties, but they have been more careless as their record drops.
They should match up with the Jacob De La Rose line, which has a small sample size of just 55 minutes together yet has a tendency to be average in relative possession rates (around -2%). It is a line that has not been tested by a high-octane group like the Barkov line. Their high-danger chances of 16.54 per 60 will be a handful for Montreal to contain.
