NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 10/15/19
A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

And our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Thatcher Demko ($7,500): The Vancouver Canucks' goaltender expects to face the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. This is because Jacob Markstrom has been granted a personal leave for a family matter. This is Demko's first action of the 2019-20 season. Last year he went 4-3-1 in eight decisions with a 2.81 goals-against average and .913 save percentage Jimmy Howard ($7,200) presents as a possible value option (if he starts) against the Canucks on Tuesday for the potential of a win and seeing 30-plus shots on net.
High-Priced Skaters
Brayden Point ($7,600): The center started on fire with three real-world points in his first game but only had three shots in the loss to the Ottawa Senators. Despite that, Point had three scoring chances in that game and two were high-danger opportunities. The Montreal Canadiens are allowing 4 goals per game and will give up chances at a 40 per 60 minute pace. Several players are available tonight including Auston Matthews ($8,800) and Matt Duchene ($7,300) -- who has full correlation to the Nashville Predators' Filip Forsberg.
Mark Stone ($7,500): Stone gets a great plus-matchup against a Nashville Predators team that is allowing goals at a rate of 4.2 per game (t-28th). Nashville yields over 40 scoring chances per 60 in the early going, so Stone will be a threat on the power play as well. This is because Vegas ranks sixth on their power-play at 30.9%. He carries less risk than most as he has topped 20 FanDuel points in five of six tries this year. Brendan Gallagher ($7,100) is an intriguing pick against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night because of Tampa's defensive woes (3.4 goals per game yielded and nearly 35 shots per 60 against).
Value Skaters
Ilya Mikheyev ($4,100): Mikheyev has sucked us in with his five real-world points in just six contests. He has fired 12 shots on net, along with playing nearly 16 minutes a night seeing what amounts to be a middle-six role with Toronto. However, he does see some time in all situations which bumps his ice time up. Some other value options from the wing are and Alex Iafallo ($4,000) and Calle Jarnkrok ($3,300) as they could easily exceed their projected point totals on Tuesday.
Sean Walker ($3,800): The Los Angeles Kings have gotten off to an awful start, but Walker has been very good. He has 4 real-world points in four games with 15 shots on net and six blocked shots. He is a safer GPP play because Walker plays over 18 minutes a night, and his price is just slightly above FanDuel's minimum. There are a few other plays on Tuesday including Chris Tanev of the Canucks at $3,500 and Kyle Capobianco ($3,500), who scored 32 real-world points in his last 40 games for the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL).
