3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 10/21/19

Josh Anderson returns from the IR and provides a great value on this short slate.

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, these players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.

Josh Anderson, Winger, Columbus Blue Jackets

FanDuel Price: $4,200

Josh Anderson has been activated off the injured reserve and will return to the Columbus Blue Jackets lineup this evening as they visit Toronto to take on the Maple Leafs. He's a very underrated player as the power-foward averaged 2.80 shots per game last season while putting up 27 goals and 47 points.

Despite defeating the Boston Bruins on Saturday night, the Maple Leafs didn't look great, and Frederik Andersen saved them with his incredible play. With John Tavares out with a broken finger, the Leafs' depth has taken a hit and this is something the Blue Jackets could take advantage of.

Joel Farabee, Winger, Philadelphia Flyers

FanDuel Price: $3,000

With three goals and four points in four games in the AHL this season, Joel Farabee has been recalled by the Philadelphia Flyers. He's going to jump right into things as he settles in on the third-line at even strength but is expected to play on the top power-play unit.

Farabee shot the puck a ton at Boston University last season with 131 shots on goal in just 37 games — which is a 3.54 shots per game average. He scored 17 goals last season and looks to be a contributor on the power play for the stone minimum on FanDuel tonight.

Vince Dunn, Defense, St. Louis Blues

FanDuel Price: $3,900

Although he has just one goal and one assist in eight games, Vince Dunn remains on the St. Louis Blues' top power-play unit. He's pretty cheap considering this role and is averaging 17:06 minutes per game. He put up 12 goals and 35 real-life points last season while averaging just under two shots per game, so things should turn around. Dunn is shooting at a higher rate this season, averaging 2.63 shots per game in the early going.

The Colorado Avalanche are playing their third game in four nights, while the Blues have only played two games since last Monday, so they are well rested.
