NHL Daily Fantasy Helper: Wednesday 10/30/19
A good chunk of you played daily fantasy football this year, and I'd be willing to bet a significant portion of you have also tried out daily fantasy basketball and baseball. But hockey? Hockey?

Our analysis and projections can help you win. To help, let's take a look at some goalies, high-priced skaters, and lower-priced players to target for today's slate.
Goalie to Target
Darcy Kuemper ($8,400): Kuemper expects to get the nod against the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night. The Arizona Coyotes goaltender plays for one of the most stingy defenses in the league (2.18 goals per game and 29.8 shots per contest yielded). Behind strong goaltending and timely scoring, Arizona goalies are a good option even at elevated prices. Montreal does shoot a lot (34.4 shots per game) and generates chances in the upper third of the league. That makes Kuemper a pretty good GPP play. Jordan Binnington ($8,100) is another good choice against a tired Minnesota Wild team.
High-Priced Skaters
Nathan MacKinnon ($8,700): MacKinnon carries a plus matchup against the Florida Panthers, and injuries to Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen do not change that much. MacKinnon is more than capable of carrying a line with less than top-line talent. The center leads the highest-shooting percentage team in the NHL at 12.8. That is not an accident, and expect MacKinnon to take 4+ shots against a Florida team that allows 3.75 goals per game. Elias Pettersson and Brayden Point also have to be considered on Wednesday night.
Leon Draisaitl ($8,600): The most chalky play of the night could potentially be Draisaitl and Connor McDavid again. Even in a lost night for the Edmonton Oilers, Draisaitl still almost totaled 20 FanDuel points. Every matchup with this duo can be considered a prime one at any time. Yes, Edmonton is unrested, but with two young players, that matters little. Nikita Kucherov ($8,400) is another high-profile candidate to produce against a New Jersey Devils team in considerable disarray.
Value Skaters
Joonas Donskoi ($4,000): Until Rantanen and Landeskog return to the lineup, Donskoi gains the benefit of playing on the top line with Nathan MacKinnon. At least for a few games, the winger will gain in value and have the potential to produce well above his price tag. Even Brian Boyle could be worth a flier on a night like this against Colorado. Florida versus Colorado has that kind of game-stack potential, and now it will be cheaper to do so.
Conor Garland ($3,000): The forward is called "Christmas Garland" because of the good tidings he provides DFS owners from time to time. He has 6 goals in 11 games on 22 shots on goal. This came along with 14 scoring chances and increased playing time -- he's up to 13 minutes per night. That does not sound like much, but Garland's speed creates chances for himself. Denis Malgin ($3,700) is another alternative, and goes against a Colorado team that allows nearly 34 shots per 60 at home.
