3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 11/15/19

Matt Grzelcyk is quarterbacking the top power-play unit for the Bruins, making him an appealing value target. Who else can put up points at a low salary?

If you follow the NHL, you already know all of the top players. Obviously, when playing DFS, those players will come at a high cost. In this article, we are looking to find the cheaper value plays to help you afford the superstars.

Joel Farabee, Winger, Philadelphia Flyers

FanDuel Price: $3,600

It's kind of crazy that Joel Farabee has just four points over 12 games this season. He has had plenty of opportunity alongside the top players on the Philadelphia Flyers as well as spending time on the top power-play unit. However, here we are. Once again, he's on the top line at even strength with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek. In addition, he'll play on the teams top power-play unit, which should give him upside.

The Flyers visit the Ottawa Senators -- a team that allows 34.2 shots against per game, the third most in the NHL. In addition, they have given up 3.33 goals per game, which is the ninth-most in the NHL. Anders Nilsson has been pretty solid in net for the Sens this season, but he can only do so much.

Tom Wilson, Winger, Washington Capitals

FanDuel Price: $4,500

Tom Wilson is one of the more polarizing players in the NHL. He makes a lot of questionable plays, but he can still produce some offense. Although Wilson has been removed from the top line, he still plays on a fantastic line with Jakub Vrana and Evgeny Kuznetsov.

In addition to playing on the second line at even strength, he also plays on the second power-play unit. The only bad thing about that is that the Washington Capitals are a team that deploys their first unit for almost the entire power play, so his time on the man advantage is limited. Still, he's a cheap way to get access to a quality offense.

Matt Grzelcyk, Defense, Boston Bruins

FanDuel Price: $3,500

With Torey Krug on the shelf, Matt Grzelcyk was tasked with top power-play duties last game. There is little reason to believe that will change for tonight, which means his price tag is far too cheap for what his upside could be. He'll be playing with the best line in hockey on the top power-play unit alongside Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak.

That power play is in a great spot versus a Toronto Maple Leafs team that struggles mightily on the penalty kill. Their 75.3 percent success rate on the penalty kill ranks 23rd, which spells big-time trouble against a Boston Bruins power play that sits third with a 30.5 percent conversion rate.
