3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on 3/30/21

With seven games on the Tuesday night NHL DFS slate, we search for value. Who can we trust?

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Tuesday night has seven games on the schedule. It is time to hunt down a few values.

Noel Acciari, Center, Florida Panthers

FanDuel Salary: $3,700

The Florida Panthers have been playing Noel Acciari on their top line and he has been mostly successful the past couple of games. In the two contests versus the Dallas Stars, Acciari was able to rack up eight blocked shots while playing nearly 21 minutes a night. The shot volume may have been only two shots a game but even then, the center was able to generate five scoring chances.

The risk with Acciari is whether he can keep up this pace. One good bit of news is that Florida is playing the Detroit Red Wings at home. Detroit gives up 3.3 goals per game on the road and has the league-worst penalty-kill overall at just 72.3%. The Florida power-play is seventh at 24.8% and fires 34.4 shots per contest which is second in the league. Acciari should have a few more opportunities with his speed than he did versus the Dallas Stars.

Also, Luke Kunin ($3,500) is positioned as a center on FanDuel from Nashville and has double-digit FanDuel points in consecutive contests.

Filip Zadina, Wing, Detroit Red Wings

FanDuel Salary: $3,300

Filip Zadina is a high-risk choice playing on Detroit's top line but he did have five shots and an assist in the two-game miniseries versus the Columbus Blue Jackets. What was encouraging was that he saw 15+ minutes of ice time in both games and maintained a nice two-way presence. Consistency has been elusive for Zadina but the Panthers are without Aleksander Barkov and now Aaron Ekblad. There could be a few more opportunities on Tuesday as Florida adjusts.

Again, this could flop horribly. Zadina has not scored a goal since his two-goal outburst versus the Carolina Hurricanes on March 4th. He has had 3+ shots on goal five times in March along with 3+ scoring chances. Playing with Dylan Larkin can only help and could be a reasonable mini-stack on Tuesday.

As for safer alternatives, Calle Jarnkrok is getting solid top-six-like minutes for Nashville and has 3+ shots in each of his previous three appearances.

Ty Smith, Defenseman, New Jersey Devils

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Ty Smith of the New Jersey Devils has a low floor when it comes to shots and blocked shots. He is utilized differently but does have five assists in his last five games and Smith is playing nearly 20 minutes a night in that span.

There is a bit more value than usual on Tuesday night but Smith does lead all rookies in assists with 17 and did have two shots plus two scoring chances versus Boston on Sunday evening.

Mackenzie Weegar ($3,800) will be Florida's top offensive defenseman in all situations for Florida on Tuesday night against Detroit.
