5 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Monday 5/3/21

With the massive 14-game NHL DFS slate, there are plenty of value options on Monday night. Let's take a look!

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your lineup. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's larger slate where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford more chances to play some studs as well.

Monday night has a 14-game schedule for DFS players. It is time to dig in!

Sam Bennett, Center, Florida Panthers

FanDuel Salary: $4,000

Middle-six options are everywhere on Monday for values. However, if Sam Bennett continues to be priced in the value range, how can anyone say no to the Florida Panthers' center?

Value centers again are in abundance but Bennett has real-world points in all but one of his games since being acquired by Florida. He has four straight games of 20+ FanDuel points which include two goals and five assists. The Dallas Stars may feel the need to push for more offense than usual on Monday as Florida averages 3.28 goals per game (7th in the league). A big reason for that Panthers' surge of late has been Bennett. Anthony Duclair ($4,000) is also in the top-six for Florida and could be someone to stack with Bennett to save salary elsewhere.

Filip Chytil ($3,900) could be worth the risk against a depleted Washington Capitals' roster. Also, Kirby Dach ($3,700) is again an intriguing add from the Chicago Blackhawks against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Tim Stuetzle, Wing, Ottawa Senators

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

With the Winnipeg Jets struggling mightily (losers of six straight games), it may be worth a look to roster Tim Stuetzle on Monday night.

Yes, Stuetzle can vanish some nights when it comes to shots on goal and scoring chances. However, the winger can get behind a defense very quickly. Winnipeg has been battling it of late and has allowed three or more goals in all six games of this latest downturn.

Stuetzle is one of several under-priced Ottawa Senators' players but he does have two goals and two assists in his previous seven games. Winnipeg now allows 31 shots per game while Ottawa has crossed over the 30-shot threshold (30.2 per game). Do not be surprised if the Ottawa winger takes more of a shoot-first mentality against the Jets on Monday.

Daniel Sprong ($3,700) has three goals in his previous three games for Washington. Andrew Copp ($3,800) is always worth a look from Winnipeg Jets as his salary just does not move much.

Jordan Kyrou, Wing, St. Louis Blues

FanDuel Salary: $3,400

Playoff hockey or playing for one's playoff lives produces some otherworldly results. Jordan Kyrou finally is getting utilized better and rewarding DFS owners for it.

The concern with Kyrou has always been playing time. His points per 60 have been over two all season long and he ranks among the top-25 wingers in the NHL now. He has 14 or more FanDuel points in each of his previous three contests. That is a big reason why the St. Louis Blues suddenly look like they have a balanced offense again. Set up your players to their best attributes and they produce. Imagine that.

Some other low-salary options could include Janne Kuokkanen ($3,400) from the New Jersey Devils and Joonas Donskoi ($3,400) of the Colorado Avalanche.

Alex Goligoski, Defenseman, Arizona Coyotes

FanDuel Salary: $3,900

The hope for a playoff berth is dimming for the Arizona Coyotes but Alex Goligoski has a floor that could prove to be valuable on Monday night against the Los Angeles Kings.

Goligoski has the ability to block three or four shots against Los Angeles. He also can provide and chip in with some offense as well. He has 15 assists in 52 games for the Coyotes this season. During their last matchup, the Arizona defender had two assists, a shot on goal, and blocked shots as well.

Every point counts for the Coyotes at this point so expect Goligoski to see as much ice time as possible. He played over 26 minutes in a weekend tilt against the Vegas Golden Knights.

For more value salaried choices on Monday night, Sean Walker ($3,700) is a possibility from Los Angeles along with Connor Murphy ($3,700) from the Chicago Blackhawks for shots and blocked shots alone.

Jordan Binnington, Goalie, St. Louis Blues

FanDuel Salary: $7,300

The goaltending position on Monday night has a ton of value and a ton of traps. This could be risky but Jordan Binnington tends to save his best for when the St. Louis Blues are pushed against a wall. As every point draws St. Louis closer to a playoff spot, Binnington has elevated his play some. He is 3-0-1 in his last four starts and though he has yielded 11 goals, it is that probability of a win at home on Monday that elevates this option. He has lost in his previous two meetings against the Anaheim Ducks which should be more motivation.

Darcy Kuemper ($6,900) could be a play from the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. He was a hard-luck loser in overtime on Saturday versus the Vegas Golden Knights but did stop 31 of 34 shots. Also, Marcus Hogberg ($6,500) is the projected goaltender for Ottawa tonight as they entertain Winnipeg and he has wins in consecutive starts.
