3 NHL FanDuel Values to Target on Tuesday 5/11/21

With two games on Tuesday night's NHL DFS slate, values can be scarce. Let's see who can be found from the value bin.

Spending lower in any daily fantasy lineup is a way to incorporate some diversity into your roster. In NHL DFS, there is typically more value in this strategy but also a good deal more risk. This is especially true on tonight's slate, where there are lots of lower-salaried plays. Plugging in these options will afford you more chances to play some studs, as well.

Tuesday night has a couple of games on the NHL schedule. What values may we find?

Adam Lowry, Center, Winnipeg Jets

FanDuel Salary: $3,400

It is quite the test to find values in playoff-like slates. Tuesday night is no exception but Adam Lowry may be worth the risk.

He plays 15+ minutes a night typically and could see a small bump in ice time if Paul Maurice decides to ease the load of his top-six forwards. Winnipeg is on the back end of a back-to-back also. That may help Maurice's decision. Lowry had a couple of scoring chances to go with his two shots on goal and four attempts on Monday night.

Another value center that could help may just be Sean Kuraly ($3,600) from the Boston Bruins going against a Washington Capitals team that wants to rest players before the playoffs.

Nils Hoglander, Wing, Vancouver Canucks

FanDuel Salary: $4,100

The Vancouver Canucks rookie makes for a "just push play" type of scenario tonight. Nils Hoglander scored again on Monday night and then added another goal as well along with six shots and four scoring chances. The reality is Winnipeg had few answers for the shifty winger. His speed caused the Jets a lot of matchup problems.

Hoglander has not tired like some players from the COVID compressed schedule. He even has four or more shots in three of his past four games. His minutes in the previous three contests were 16,15, and 14 respectively. The winger has the look of a Nikolaj Ehlers who the Jets miss profusely by the way.

Jake DeBrusk ($3,700) is a sneaky option on Tuesday night and only played 11 minutes on Monday. He should be well-rested from Boston.

Jack Rathbone, Defenseman, Vancouver Canucks

FanDuel Salary: $3,600

Jack Rathbone is an extremely risky option on Tuesday but then again maybe he is not. The Vancouver defenseman has a goal and an assist in four games this season since his callup.

The matchup here is a decent one against Winnipeg and Rathbone will not be asked to play a ton of minutes. He played a season-high 16 minutes on Monday night and had three shots with four blocked shots to go along with an assist.

There is a reasonable chance that Rathbone could play 15 or more minutes again on Tuesday night as Vancouver sees what they have in the young blueliner.

If John Carlson does not play, Trevor van Riemsdyk ($3,600) may be in play from Washington. There is also Ville Heinola who is just $3,500 from Winnipeg who has six shots and six blocked shots in his previous two games.
